Is it possible to make ubran maps? Just to make maps with on example New York from 1930 year (This is IC action time). It would be really great to fight on the streets beetwen residential blocks. We would need to make residential blocks models. So I want to ask is it hard to make blocks models? Because we would must to make few building models.

Just make a glorified square and do your texture thing which you do so greatly.

Yea, but idk is that would look realistic... I think that would be better if there will be qindow, door bays and cornices.

Hmmmm, very interesting idea. The only thing is, if we're fighting along streets, then it's basically going to be just chokepoints-- there won't be any room to move. We can probably still give it a shot though.
Hmm, I don't know what it would be like to make buildings in Gmax. I'd need to teach myself a whole new style... My style is good for freeform things, like animals, but shapes like rectangles and squares are going to need a new approach. Give me a building to make, for a trial run.

Oh, the other thing is, if you're seeing creatures through buildings, they show up as green shapes, which will get distracting on a city map.

i1-news.softpedia-static.com/images/reviews/large/redalert2_003-large.jpgThere are 2 blocks on the down of screeen. Just choose one of them. "Hmmmm, very interesting idea. The only thing is, if we're fighting along streets, then it's basically going to be just chokepoints-- there won't be any room to move. We can probably still give it a shot though." There can be squares and parks. "Oh, the other thing is, if you're seeing creatures through buildings, they show up as green shapes, which will get distracting on a city map." If they will not be shown through building then there will be hard to find them xd

It's going to take an extremely long time, and an impossibly large map, to make an entire city-- should we do some kind of post apocalyptic thing? Maybe some craters, some fissures in the ground, and make the buildings overgrown?

"It's going to take an extremely long time, and an impossibly large map, to make an entire city" Firt we can make some small city "should we do some kind of post apocalyptic thing?" Well it would be nice if we will do campaing

I'm just fondling it would be too troublesome to do a whole city, and by making it post-apocalyptic we could cut back on the number of buildings.

...that's his point. If there are too many buildings, then the battlefield becomes cramped. I really like this idea, though. However, I have a hard time imagining a random island-city in the middle of the ocean. xd
