I offered you an SVN service when you were first starting with Tellurian, IIRC.
It's basically a folder in cloud storage that can be updated very easily and swiftly as you wish, comes with an in-built change log and everything. Making a large modding project or game without something like this is pretty much impossible.

Is it possible to place hostile AI creatures on a map? Stuff that would attack everyone?
Had an idea for a sort of King of the Ant Hill map.

IIRC, from when I was derping around several years ago, no.
The only team that has the same relationship with every other is nature, and that's neutral. So no.

Closest you can come is specifying an extra player with a hidden lab (normally under the ground or just suppressed) and setting him to be everyone's enemy, then spawning him creatures.

I was looking at KotH maps, but then I got bored.
I actually finished one, way back when I still supersucked, but since I made awesome NISlet animations for it it crashed in multiplayer.
