Greetings to everyone here. This is my first time posting here and my name is Urutsune but you guys can just call me Uru simply.
Impossible Creatures always been my favorite RTS game and I find it one of the best ones because unlike most other RTS this one really does involve serious strategy and not just "be the fastest to built the strongest unit lol". A really brilliant and one of the most original concept but I am sure I don't need to tell this all to you guys. So anyways I always loved it, always will love and time by time I just still have re take out the game and play again, it's truly a game I never can get fully bored of ever. Okay seriously enough of the boring introduction now and let's get into business...
So I had tried out like all the worthy mods and until now I actually never found ANY I could be satisfied with or really find it good piece of work. Until now that I tried out Tellurian. I know could tell all this somewhere else like IC Hive but I really wanted to join here and let all out of my thoughts about this brilliant piece of work, I just could nto hold it back. So for the rest you can take it as a review as my personal opinions, what things do I like and what I may not be fully satisfied with and etc. You know what I mean. So Let's begin!
First things first, the best and most interesting. The new animals it brings! I have to say it has FAR the most interesting and original choices for new animals. Like seriously, I myself sick of all the boring extremeness what a lot people try to put into their mods. Like sure dinosaurs are cool so as other prehistoric animals but please, it really ruins the mood of the game over packing it with a bunch of bizarre extreme things. And yes there is a wooly mammoth in the game but that is different, it makes sense and all. I mean humans have found like several mammoths frozen in ice like IRL, it is not really sci fi to have it as it is really not a MAGICAL thing to think about getting some mammoth genetic sample. And yeah there is also the Behemoth and I don't even know where did that pop out from the creators head but it's fine and not weird. Anyways, you people really made original very smart choices for animals. They are not random and they all actually bring in something new and cool but they are really not overpowered or overworked on usefulness. They let you have new possibilities but they do not force any old animal into the background and decrease their usefulness. You people did some really amazing stuff with the new animals.
For another thing what I personally really really REALLY love about the mod is the balancing done to things. I be honest, it is so genius that I thought I will faint from amazement! It's crazy but you guys really made every single animal useful! I honestly never ever thought I see the day of grizzly bear been a very useful choice of animal. And the way of balancing are really seriously smart, they are not just some random stat increase or decrease or add some ability which beef up the animal. They are clever and make the game like 20% cooler. Though for one I was a bit confused about a very few things example the zebra and camel are very similar, like I noticed example that the zebra can attack with it's front legs but I am still a bit unsure about whats the deal with the camel? The Behemoth balance is really great too, relatively simple on the most noticeable side as the horns ability has been removed but it actually it changes a lot more then how some may expect at first. In the past you are like with the behemoth as "god, just what part even worth to change on ti beside the tail? It is so perfect in every part!" But now he just have a strong head for sure but there is a bunch of heads which have some very cool ability which can worth a lot more. Oh and did you guys decreased the rate of electricity gathered? It seems to be that way for me, it seems way slower and you actually have to work for it to have enough it's really exactly perfect. There is a lot of other little details too but yeah that's all the biggest ones. My only complain about is the caterpillar attack description. No it's not the joke, I guess one joke can't hurt even though I hate such type of jokes but anyways I wish it would be a bit more informative. For someone new to it may not be able to tell from it is it artillery range attack or it just ordinary range attack? I wish it would somehow been pointed out in the description, it's important for something to be new player friendly.
Oh and I also like the maps. Not much else to say there.
So I guess that's it for now I hope it's not too long and it was not too boring as well. You guys are really incredible, I don't know do you guys plan to add more stuffs in but I hope you do because you guys are seriously hardcore talented and have high understanding in what can improve something in a game. So keep up the good work and Tellurian is by FAR the best mod ever made.
