I didn't say RTS was the only one, I just said I couldn't think of MANY genres.

That almost sounds like you don't think console ports are bad. Never said anything about ports. PC Etilists tend look down on all console games, regardless of origin. I like games for games, I don't care what they're "on" But like Matt said, RTS games on consoles are not a good match. But I can't think of many types of games that seem that limited in terms of platform. No, I have nothing against console games. In fact, I own a PS2 and I adore games like God of War or Gran Turismo. Problems arise when something as fundamentally different as console games gets ported to the PC and becomes popular enough to actually be the norm. The biggest example of this is the extremely large weapon model in pretty much any modern AAA FPS, courtesy of consoles so they don't have to render the entire scene. This console port thing has other consequences like dumbing down controls to 12 buttons max and stuff, when PC gamers have the possibility to have much more fleshed out controls. But like Matt said, RTS games on consoles are not a good match. I'd even go as far as saying FPSes aren't much good on consoles. You don't have the precision to aim precisely with the buttons, and you have to deal with deadzone latency when using the already imprecise analog hat. The only games that really benefit from consoles and gamepads are racing games and action games. Everything else is done better on the PC.

It's a matter of personal preference. I don't like using the mouse for many games.

Just like cars with automatic transmission are easier to learn how to drive than manual transmission cars. That doesn't mean they're better, they're actually less efficient and flexible than cars with manual transmission, jus like consoles.

It's a matter of video games. at the end of the day...it's just arguing about whose form of entertainment is better. it's an objective thing.

Maybe more people don't play PC games because of all the PC elitists strutting about. >.>

The only objective thing here is that forcing console player's preferences on PC gamers is bad. Like you said, it's a matter of opinion, and PC gamers are getting their preferences denied.

Hello, my name is Crombie, I was killed to death by an angry falling tree. If you don't copy and paste this to 674 threads in the next 18 seconds, acorns will materialise inside your ears, grow into mini-trees, and beat on your eardrums every time you brush your teeth for the rest of your life.

Subjective, right. Oh well, it's just how the industry is. I play consoles AND PC so all of this is irrelevant to me.
