I don't get the pony hate...why it's a big deal or whatever. Hating on MLP is a personal thing. You can hate whatever you want for whatever reasons. Hating on MLP fans is bad, judging a person on their tastes (unless they're really horrible, radiohead or one direction fans are good examples) is a bad habit in general. Hating on MLP fans that take every single opportunity to shove MLP pictures up everyone's noses is understandable and good. Hope that cleared it out. |

O yes.
For the most part, it looks like Brony-ism (at least this recent explosion of it on the internet) is just some attention seeking bullshit. "Look at how different and free I am because I admit to liking a little girl's cartoon! That's how little I care about what you all think of me!". Irony of course being that they want people to think they don't care badly enough to watch every single episode of My Little Pony.
I say this largely because the cartoon in question is My Little Pony. There's an endless supply of cartoons out there, and yet these lads decide to enjoy the one most likely to inflame the surly, judgemental folks on the internet.
It's a lot like being a superhipster, and for similar reasons.
I won't forget that, Lester. Oh no.

I watched an episode once, It was really nothing special.
Not bad, not particularly engaging either. Just kinda, well yeah it's alright. Don't see all the fuss.
I will however say it has produced some amazingly good parody material and porn.
