I think there should be a natural history of the islands that IC took place in and of what happened after rex defeated upton.
"After the great ruler of these isles, Upton, left along with his goons, there was a new grand scientist on the island. His name was Dr. revan, and accompanying him was his colleague dogge. Seeing the potential of sigma technology, revan and dogge used whatever creatures they could find. The only creatures on their island were wolves, ants and kong. So began a massive genetic modification project. The fruits of their efforts were the frownodon, a massive, green carnivore that can hide underground and gore prey with its tusks, the alien, a strange creature that is a mix between a wolf pelt contaminated with baboon and electric eel dna and e.coli bacteria that can shoot lightning bolts from its tail and prefers to hunt in packs. Their other creatures include a kong that can be combined, and a pletheura of ants with a wide set of abilities. Under revan and dogge, a wide sort of other scientists, including toadfrog and hornobster, matthew and pugwilliam, and the infamous "wolverale". Hornobster and toadfrog decided to make a massive wolflike creature that could shoot fire. They crossed the wolf with a crocodile and cobra and came up with the "dragon". They also created the prehistoric wolf, a wolflike creature with camouflage and the ability to deflect projectiles. Wolverale decided to modify existing sigma creatures and give them different sizes and abilities. matthew and pugwilliam saw all of this and scoffed at all the insanity that was happening. They brought such animals like the tapir, mole rat, tuna, blue ringed octopus, skipper caterpillar, snail and hornbill to the islands, protecting them from intruders in a steel fortress, guarded by voracious mole rat tigers. Only the most determined thief would dare break into the fort."
