there is absolutely no excuse for it still to have the same laggy, clunky, awkward, hard to find anything interface for this long, it's been up for almost a decade now and had made like marginal improvements
sure you get good value for money on games that you're never going to play them anyway, but to be honest i would gladly stop using steam if another service cropped up
the worst thing is that you're forced to use it even if you buy games from retail or digital versions from amazon or wherever
You dislike something because of the company when the purpose of the event is to support a charity. You also get to choose whether or not Origin receives any amount of your donation while also receiving decent games as a gift. Some of the games can also be brought over to steam. You might like that considering you value steam for whatever reason.

I dislike everything for lots of reasons, but i'm not invested in origin or steam really. It's great it's charity, that's badger-shufflingly dandy. But I couldn't be more ambivalent about badger-shuffling around with EA and Origin shit, and on the rare occasion I use Steam, it's nice.
So yeah, it's nice and all, but I don't care really.
steam is a goddamn awful service at what makes it worse is that people believe that its the godsend of gaming when its really bad and greenlight is awful and valve has questionable morals i dont like steam i want to love it but i cant
