First of all, I am new to this forum so please bear with me. I have downloaded all the replays for the Tellurian mod from this forum and I was unable to view them, even though I am certain that I put them in the right folder. Looking at the dates of when these replays were created (from 15th August to 14th September this year), it seems that they require an older version of Tellurian in order for them to work (as I know that the latest version was released on 25th September). I am not sure if they all need the v2.0 patch for them or do some of them need earlier versions, and I'm also not sure if installing an older version just to view them will affect files for the latest version. Please put my mind at ease, in case I do anything wrong  |

Thought so. Oh and another thing... when trying to view any of the replays, I get the message "Playback Over" upon starting one. Obviously this is the case for the Tellurian ones but the Insect Invasion ones (that were provided by Alansugar) baffled me, especially when I do have that mod needed to see them and it's not as if I need anything else.
As for backing up the current Tellurian folder, I suppose the older version of it would overwrite all of its contents. This leads to this question... when done viewing the replays with the older version, can that be easily overwritten with the current version? Again, just wanting to make sure.

1) There's a chance that the Insect Invasion replays were recorded on Rocks' Insect Invasion. That, or your II may have been somehow altered.
2) Yes.
If you've got the space, you may want to create a second install of IC just for watching the old replays. That'd save you the trouble of replacing folders all the time.

Well it's the original Insect Invasion I have, so it could be that modified version you're talking about. If possible, could you link me to it? And it's going to feel strange of having two different ICs installed but I'll see what I can do. Of course, I would have to install that copy elsewhere (other than Program Files).
EDIT: I'm downloading the IC Full Installer for the second copy of the game but, I want to know if the mods contained in it are Tellurian 2.0 and that other Insect Invasion mod you mentioned.

It does include Tel 2.0.
It most certainly does not in any way contain Rocks' Insect Invasion.

I meant, they were crazy and fun to watch. "Mental" is a slang term for "crazy", especially here in Scotland  Well with that problem solved, you can safely lock this thread. |
