I've been digging through some of my old IC screenshots and mod files recently and came across this picture: I've got it labeled as "coconut monkey" and as far as I can remember there was some kind of object unlocker mod for the IC-map-editor. Atleast I think that's where it might have come from because I couldn't find the monkey prop in the editor :/ Anyone remember more about this?

...Huh. Rarely does something IC-related come up that I don't know of but I have never heard of this. Interesting. I'll do some Googling but something tells me I won't find much. Edit: Well, there are a bunch of directories inside art\ebps (from engine.sga) that have a file called "toolconfig.lua" inside of them, which tells the MissionEditor to ignore the directories. I enabled them and found a lot of interesting stuff but not the object in your screenshot specifically.

I found the toolconfig.lua aswell and it does exactly what you said, it tells the mission editor to ignore the current directory. That's why we can find toolconfig.lua's in some of the other folders aswell. Also kinda nostalgic finding the old Kong model in \nis_structures_props again. Otherwise I think I may have found another clue on this coconut monkey: www.blackfalcongames.net/?p=183If you search for "coconut monkey" and you'll find: "Mod: Exclusive Coconut Monkey unit for Impossible Creatures" So it seeeeeems it was some kind of IC mod featured on a PC Gamer CD back in 2002. My best guess is that this "props unlocker" mod I have vague memories of, unlocked a bunch of stuff in the editor by ""perhaps"" editing the "toolconfig" and maybe just added this mod-prop? Anyway I'll try to contact the blogger about the coconut monkey and report back if I can come up with anything Edit: Ok you where right. I actually booted up my Win98 to check through some of my even older IC files and found the mod titled "unlockobjects". It basically consists of the folders \Data\Art\Ebps\nature_old containing a edited "toolconfig.lua". With this you can enable the "nature_old" folder in the mission editor, featuring some "hidden" tree- and rock-props, but no coconut monkey. I think I must have mixed up the two mods xD
