As I said before, you can't erase texture stamps once they've been placed. You can only paint over them with another stamp. This has nothing to do with the brushes. I know it looks like it does, but it doesn't. I'm not sure how the textures in IC were made and I know nothing about digital art, so I'm afraid I can't help you much with your clear.tga problem, unfortunately. The most I can suggest is to make sure that your .tga files aren't RLE compressed. Same goes for your decals. IC won't accept .tgas with RLE compression, so make sure it's off.
Also, there's no need to make four separate posts. If you have something to add, you can use the edit feature.

save the textures without RLE compress was thre solution. all my graphics work.
But the Decals are too small How manx pix high and wide must they be, to fill the whole island (256m x 256m)?

Now my decal is bib enough, but it disappears, if i try to place it exactly in the center of my map.
Why that?

the decal has the whole map-size, because i found no other wax to place my map-design exactly.

as i cutted the decals into four pieces the placement worked right
