I've been playing Fallout: New Vegas lately. going through all the DLC. SO far these are my ratings. - Old World Blues - Honest Hearts - Lonesome Road I have not finished Dead Money, just started it, but it's already loads better than Lonesome Road. Well New Vegas was pretty fun (though to be honest I never finished the mainstory and only played the Addon with the weird robobrains and the other one in this canyon full of tribes). I just kinda preferred Fallout 3. *looks at Nikki Strychnines sig* It had more of an Apocalyptic atmosphere, New Vegas doesn't look as grim ;D

I prefer NV for a lot of reasons. The thing about FO3 is that it has that feeling because it was a more metropolitan area, so the landscape is littered with demolished buildings.
NV takes place in the Southwest, a region with vast deserts.
The overall atmosphere has a more Western vibe, cowboys, bandits, etc. And the landscape is also more of an orange rather than FO3's Green and Grey palette.
It's generally more pleasing to me.

On top of that, the characters in NV aren't the drooling simps that populate F3.

200 years after the war and the height of civilisation in F3 is Megaton. A shanty town built around an undetonated atomic bomb. Incredible.

Wouldn't the height of civilisation be Tenpenny Tower?

No, TT is pretty fragile. So far as I can tell, Burke is the only person who ever actually leaves the tower. Since the trade caravans never come near, they're presumably depending on one man for all their outside goods.

Yeah, I could concede Rivet City. So I was mistaken. In the entirety of Fallout 3, there's one city not populated solely by retards. Good for them?
