I nearly entered the Australian equivalent of Robot Wars. Me and Callum were going to enter a grapplebot. I had all these brilliant ideas.
Then he wussed out because it was going to cost $200 each to enter.

Though the whole "20 minutes to fix your robot" concept is fucking awesome. That looks like it could be cool.
That said, I have no faith in bipedal technology.

They're keeping the whole thing a little bit of a mystery as of now... I'm cautiously optimistic because I know how you feel, I want it to be full-on Real Steel, and I hope I'm not going to be disappointed. From the article they're excited and happy with the result, I haven't seen any real fast-moving robots though, so I'm interested in how that's going to affect the spectle of a hand-to-hand battle... Just guess we all have to wait and see.
