Work is currently underway on a patch we like to call DRAGONS DRAGONS DRAGONS.
The patch will be comprised of mostly dragons, with a lesser focus on dragons and a sprinkling of dragons on the side for variety.
As it stands, we have models for seven almost identical but totally unique different kinds of dragon. We feel they will each bring a unique slant to the Impossible Creatures battlefield, as they are all size 12 fliers which breathe fire.

We also had some success in balancing the game by completely removing lobsters, but then decided that was quite a heavy-handed approach, so we instead started some serious work on adjusting the stats and abilities of every single creature.
We began by making them all exactly the same and planned out a complicated set of changes for each, so that every combination could be equally useful. This was a long, difficult process, so we gave up and went back to having them all the same, thus achieving all the goals we set for balancing in a simple and accessible manner.

We feel like making every creature exactly the same helps to level the playing field-- there's no longer any abused creatures. All creatures are equal and are given equal share of all acquired resources. We've also entirely removed unique creature abilities; from each according to his abilities, to each according to his means.
We've also changed it so that the only colours available to players are slight variations of bright red.

Player one is always bright red, player two a brighter redder bright red and player 3 the reddiest reddy red brightened with a marvellous red and some highlights of brightened dull bright red. The rest are all just the same as player one because we couldn't think of more colours and nobody plays games with more than three players anyway.
To add a bit of challenge, we've raised the gyrocopter limit to 14 and made them mandatory for all henchman movement.

We've also hooked Tel up to the World Wide Web so that it automatically downloads updates. This does, of course, mean that you'll have to connect to the internet at least once a day, or Tel will become unplayable.
You will also need a webcam to play, because we'll be starting a service we like to call LibertyCam, wherein your facial expression will be monitored during gameplay and a constant automated Twitter link will be established, keeping the world up to date with your current emotional state.
It will also watch you while you masturbate.
